Pseudo-elections in the TOT Donetsk region will begin 21 days earlier
The occupation authorities in Donetsk region have announced that the pseudo-elections to the russian state duma in the TOT will begin on 30 August.
By scheduling the start of the pseudo-voting 21 days before the official date, local occupation officials justify the decision by allegedly caring about the population and security concerns.
In reality, the occupation authorities are seeking to create more convenient conditions for the uncontrolled stuffing of ballots and the use of other mechanisms to falsify the results of the «vote».
ru-propaganda is trying to create the illusion of mass support for the occupation and thereby legitimise it. However, holding such «elections» in Ukraine’s TOT violates international law, and their results are legally null and void.
