ru-propaganda continues to lie about control over Kupiansk
russia’s ministry of defense continues to claim that russian forces are holding Kupiansk. The enemy is circulating videos allegedly meant to prove russian control over the city, but in reality they demonstrate that the russians do not control most of Kupiansk.
▫️ Drone footage shows a group of russian soldiers moving along the streets of Kupiansk. However, these videos are yet another hostile manipulation: in fact, russian forces are located on the northern outskirts of the city and are withdrawing from Kupiansk. Thus, russia’s ministry of defense is presenting the retreat of a russian unit as supposed “evidence” of the city’s capture.
Notably, this latest lie of ru-propaganda is so obvious to anyone familiar with the area that it has been debunked even by some russian propagandist Telegram channels.
russia has been claiming the capture of Kupiansk since late November. Such statements were made personally by russian dictator vladimir putin. In reality, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have pushed back the occupiers and control approximately 90% of the city.
