“russian house” continues propaganda and espionage in Berlin

⚡️ German media have noted that the “russian house” is still operating in Berlin, exploiting loopholes in EU sanctions introduced in 2022 against the russian agency rossotrudnichestvo. This state agency coordinates the activities of “russian houses” abroad.

These institutions are used by russia not so much for cultural cooperation, as they claim, but to promote the kremlin’s political interests and conduct information-psychological operations. Moreover, these centers may carry out auxiliary functions for russian intelligence services.

The Center previously reported that the network of “russian houses” operates in dozens of countries worldwide and is used as an instrument of influence under the guise of cultural initiatives. Through these platforms, russia spreads propaganda, manipulative narratives, and seeks to shape a favorable view of its policies.

In 2025, the activities of “russian houses” were already shut down in countries such as Moldova, Syria, and Azerbaijan.
