putin uses ISIS methods in hybrid war against Europe
According to European media, russian intelligence services, like the terrorist group ISIS, use targeted propaganda, disinformation, and social media to recruit vulnerable groups of the population.
▫️ Just as ISIS did in 2013–2019, the kremlin mobilizes marginalized, mostly russian-speaking individuals, offering them ideologically appealing messages — religious or nationalist. russian propaganda fuels polarization in European societies, stirring discontent toward domestic politicians in individual countries and the EU as a whole.
▫️ Later, these individuals are involved in “one-time” sabotage tasks: gathering intelligence, arson, transmitting information about military and critical infrastructure, etc.
The goal is to create a network of “one-time agents”: low-cost operatives acting from EU territory to destabilize societies and undermine trust in national governments. The key factor in recruitment is the combination of financial vulnerability and ideological inclination.
