Fake “russian elite”: real war veterans are being kicked out of putin’s programme
russian military personnel complain that they are being forced under threat of being sent to storming units to refuse participation in putin’s personnel program “time of heroes” — an initiative that the kremlin presents as a “social elevator” for participants in the war against Ukraine and a forge of the “new elite of russia.”
▫️ According to russian sources, commanders are forcing subordinates to withdraw their applications for participation in the program. Those who refuse are threatened with transfer to assault units, where “their fate will be unknown.” The system does not want to see real combatants in power.
▫️ Among more than a thousand so-called “heroes” of the “own” who have gone through the personnel program and received positions, there are almost no real war participants. Mostly these are former deputies or senators who “served” for a certain time on camera in battalions specially created for officials.
This indicates the true essence of the program: it does not create a “new elite,” it is only a propaganda cover to lure as much “cannon fodder” into the army as possible.
