In Russia language and literature textbooks will be rewritten for propaganda purposes.
At the meeting of the federation council of the russian federation, representatives of the moscow pedagogical university announced that they are preparing new “unified” textbooks on the russian language and literature with a “patriotic, nationally oriented approach.” The authors explicitly state that it is necessary to “educate citizens interested in preserving THE RUSSIAN language” and to “strengthen spiritual and moral values.”
This means that after historical science, propaganda has reached the study of language and literature — two more basic subjects through which children’s worldview is formed.
▫️ The curricula plan to include sections on “literature of the peoples of russia,” a column “literary map of russia,” and expanded topics on the “great patriotic war.” Even the section “foreign literature” will be made “russia-centric,” renaming it to “foreign literature in russian translations.”
The new textbooks will become another channel for imposing kremlin myths on the younger generation. the putin regime is finally turning the education system into a tool of ideological control. the russian authorities aim for every school subject to serve one purpose — to educate an obedient citizen who firmly believes in the state ideology.
