russian propaganda continues its attempts to discredit the security guarantees that Ukraine is negotiating with its allies.
▫️Hostile resources disseminate disinformation claims alleging that “residents of Ukraine fear occupation by the troops of the ‘coalition of the willing.’” Supposedly, both civilian and military Ukrainians believe that the deployment of deterrence forces would amount to the “real occupation” of Ukraine.
At the same time, propagandists refer exclusively to data from the mythical “anti-fascist underground of Kherson region,” or provide no references at all, while claiming that similar sentiments exist in Dnipropetrovsk region and within the ranks of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. No evidence even remotely credible is provided to support the existence of such sentiments.
By spreading this narrative, the enemy seeks to discredit international security guarantees, sow distrust toward allies within Ukrainian society, and undermine diplomatic efforts to end the war.
