Fake news against Ukraine’s Defence Forces
ru-propaganda continues its campaign of producing fakes with the aim of discrediting the Defence Forces of Ukraine.
▫️Propagandist resources use screenshots of real news from the Ukrainian criminal chronicle, falsifying them as if the crimes in question had been committed by servicemen. These falsified screenshots are supplemented with entirely fabricated details and are actively disseminated online.
For example, an ordinary domestic fight is presented as a conflict between a serviceman on leave and a civilian man who allegedly wanted to learn the fate of his missing son.
In reality, neither of the men was a serviceman, and the story about the son is a complete fabrication.
Such fabrications are disseminated systematically. Their goal is to create the illusion that Ukrainian servicemen are constantly committing brazen crimes against civilians and to provoke division between civilians and the military within Ukrainian society.
