Situation is catastrophic: water crisis in TOT of Donetsk region is deepening

New water supply schedules have been introduced in the temporarily occupied areas of Donetsk region, sparking a wave of outrage among local residents. In Donetsk and Makiivka, water will now be supplied only once every three days, and in Khartsyzk, Ilovaisk, and Zugres — once every two days.

▫️ However, residents report that in some places there’s no water for weeks, or it’s completely unavailable. Even the collaborators who welcomed the “russian world” back in 2014 are now complaining: Donetsk used to be a “model city,” but now people can’t even use toilets properly.

▫️ Meanwhile, the occupiers offer no real solutions. Instead, they promise “assistance” — 20 liters of drinking water per family per week. Propagandists, as usual, try to blame Ukraine, claiming it’s the result of a so-called “water blockade.”

The destruction of water infrastructure in Donetsk region is a direct consequence of occupation, russian-led military actions, and the total mismanagement of russian-appointed officials. It is russia that has driven the water crisis in Donbas to the point of a humanitarian catastrophe.
