Enemy TG channels are widely spreading messages claiming that the hits on residential buildings in Odesa were allegedly caused by Ukrainian air defense.
This is a typical russian narrative aimed at shifting the blame for civilian deaths and the destruction of Ukrainian cities onto Ukraine.
The reality is different: the aggressor regularly attacks Ukraine with missiles, drones, and bombs. Just last night, the enemy launched at least 10 UAVs at Odesa — one person was killed, and 14 were injured.
According to the head of the Center for Countering Disinformation, Officer of the Ukrainian Defense Forces Andriy Kovalenko, russia plans to continue terrorizing Ukrainian cities with massive drone attacks while simultaneously advancing information campaigns for both domestic and foreign audiences.
“For the international audience, the narrative will be spread that russia is open to negotiations and is forced to fight ‘because Ukraine supposedly wants to,’ while in the internal Ukrainian segment, they will distribute the thesis that ‘Ukraine is seems unable to defend itself, and russia is capable of destroying everything,’ demanding capitulation from society,” emphasized Andriy Kovalenko.
Thus, the enemy not only carries out terrorist attacks but also seeks to manipulate the information space, spreading fabricated explanations for its crimes.
