Mobile Internet has been out of service in Russia for weeks

In russian regions, mobile internet and other forms of communication continue to be shut down for extended periods under the guise of “ensuring the safety of the population.”

▫️ russians are widely complaining that there has been no internet for 6 days in sverdlovsk and tyumen regions. There is also no connection in kurgan, omsk, altai krai, rostov-on-don, tatarstan, and other regions. Due to communication issues, taxi services and ATMs are not functioning properly.

Mobile internet in russia began to be “temporarily” disconnected ahead of “victory day.” However, the scale of these outages has only increased over the last month.

In reality, the systematic shutdown of mobile internet is one of the measures to restrict citizens’ freedoms and enhance state control over russians. This is how the russian authorities try to limit the population’s access to undesirable sources of information in order to more effectively brainwash people in the regions with propaganda.
