On the eve of the event in the city of tolyatti, veterans of the wagner pmc were invited to a kindergarten graduation ceremony. The administration of this institution has supported the wagner fighters since the very beginning of the full-scale invasion, forcing children to draw postcards for them, bake “kulichi” (Easter breads), and so on.
The involvement of wagner fighters, most of whom are criminal offenders, in activities related to the upbringing of preschool children is part of the kremlin’s long-term strategy for ideological indoctrination of the younger generation. Other components of this strategy include mandatory meetings of schoolchildren with so-called “smo” veterans, total ideological control over educational institutions, and active recruitment of children into paramilitary state organizations.
Despite rhetoric about readiness for peace, russia systematically intensifies propaganda of war and hatred, particularly among children, whom the kremlin views as a future human resource for new wars.
