The occupiers are serving the residents of Donbas “Victory Day” instead of water
In the TOT of Ukraine, the russian invaders are actively imposing the cult of “victory”. Almost every day in most occupied cities, propaganda events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the “great victory” are held.
▫️ For example, the head of the occupation administration of the so-called “dpr” denis pushilin reported that he had planned as many as 57,000 celebrations. In addition to the obligatory “no death regiment,” these include “victory windows,” “victory waltz,” “St. George’s ribbon,” installations, clean-ups, planting of bushes, etc.
The purpose of hyperactive celebrations is not only to promote the “russian world” but also to distract people’s attention from real problems that the occupiers are unable to solve. One of the biggest is the lack of water.
Having destroyed the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas channel, russians have not been able to establish an alternative water supply. Currently, most reservoirs in Donetsk region are critically depleted, and water is supplied to major cities according to a schedule. The region may face a real disaster in the summer. But instead of solving the problem, the occupation authorities are busy celebrating.
