Fake About the Alleged Surrender of the City of Sumy — An Enemy Information Campaign Aimed at Spreading Panic
A video is circulating online, supposedly showing a local resident of Sumy claiming that local authorities are allegedly preparing to surrender the regional center. The supposed evidence includes the removal of documents and property from administrative buildings.
In reality, this is a lie being spread by russian propagandists as part of an information campaign intended to incite fear and destabilize the situation.
According to Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, the enemy continues its attempts to create a buffer zone in the Sumy region, but the Armed Forces of Ukraine are firmly holding their positions and not allowing the enemy to make any progress in these directions.
All civilians from the border settlements have been evacuated to safe locations.
