How the kremlin Manipulates to Hide Its Unwillingness to End the War
russian officials continue to manipulate by accusing Ukraine of allegedly refusing to work toward peace. In particular, russian presidential aide Nikolai Patrushev claimed that Ukraine is “incapable of negotiating.”
▫️ At the same time, in the same interview, he once again hinted at new territorial claims against Ukraine. Patrushev stated that “most residents of Odesa have nothing in common with the ‘Kyiv regime’” and that they “have the right to determine their own future.” Such statements clearly contradict the kremlin’s supposed peace-seeking rhetoric.
Patrushev’s remarks, made against the backdrop of putin’s announced three-day ceasefire, clearly illustrate the manipulative strategy of the kremlin and once again prove that russia does not truly seek peace. moscow is attempting to mislead the international community and conceal its ongoing intent to wage war.
In contrast, Ukraine has consistently demonstrated its willingness to engage in negotiations for the sake of peace and is calling for a genuine, comprehensive ceasefire lasting at least 30 days.
