Why ru-propagandists should be tried for crimes against Ukraine
RT propagandists boast about receiving an award from Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin for their war propaganda videos. The authors of the videos were recognized for “defending Russia’s interests in the information warfare.”
Some of these videos were created as “social advertising” aimed at destabilizing Ukrainian society. With these well-produced, Ukrainian-dubbed materials, the enemy promotes anti-mobilization narratives and seeks to discredit Ukraine’s military and political leadership. The purpose of such content is to undermine the morale of Ukrainians and their ability to defend themselves.
RT admitted its authorship of 18 propaganda videos produced in the Kremlin’s interest. These materials are among the tools of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, which results in the deaths of civilian Ukrainians every day. Kremlin propagandists are complicit in war crimes against Ukraine and should stand trial alongside Kremlin leaders.
