Russian “victory obsession”: how occupiers zombify children in the TOT
In preparation for Victory Day, the Russians planned a large-scale propaganda contest titled “We are the Heirs of Victory” for children in the occupied territories. The resources of the occupation authorities are being used to organize the event.
This year’s contest theme is “There is such a profession as defending the homeland”. This shows that the occupiers aim to encourage children to join the Russian army in the future. The organizers openly admit that their goal is to ideologically influence young people, stating that such events are intended to cultivate “true patriots” of Russia.
As the Center previously reported, the propaganda campaign dedicated to Russia’s revered Victory Day began in November, marked by the presentation of the official logo for the “80th anniversary of the Victory” (in World War Two) in Moscow.
