How Russia cooperates with Yemeni Houthis
Investigators from Bellingcat and Lloyd’s List analyzed data on the movements of a grain cargo ship and discovered that, over the past few months, it had made multiple trips from occupied Crimea to Houthi-controlled ports in Yemen.
▫️ This is not the first instance of Russia cooperating with the Yemeni Houthi movement Ansar Allah. Western media have previously reported that Russia deceitfully recruited Yemenis through Houthi-affiliated structures. Additionally, Yemeni Islamists have agreed to safe passage for Russian ships during the shelling of ships in the Red Sea.
In this way, Russia continues to strengthen its ties with organizations designated as terrorist groups by the United States.
