How russia uses residents of Vovchansk for its propaganda
The enemy is attempting to create an illusion of concern for the residents of the northern districts of the Kharkiv region, all while the russian army is conducting extensive shelling in the area.
▫️ Specifically, in their reports, russian propagandists discuss arranging departures to russia and offering social assistance to residents of the occupied territories, all the while accusing the Ukrainian Armed Forces of shelling civilian targets.
russia’s goal is to discredit the Ukrainian government and encourage residents of the northern districts of Kharkiv region to refuse to evacuate to the territory controlled by Ukraine. In this way, the enemy aims to exploit the population of the region as a human shield.
❗️In reality, the russians are perpetrating terror against the civilian population of the occupied territories. Ukrainian law enforcement officers have received information about russians shooting at volunteers who helped in the evacuation of Vovchansk. Additionally, there are documented instances of russian military personnel capturing civilians.
