How the war against Ukraine has drained funding from russia’s “national projects”

The heavily promoted ‘major national projects’ by ru-propaganda have effectively been put on hold in russia. Due to massive war expenditures against Ukraine, there is simply not enough funding to support them.

According to russia’s Ministry of Finance, out of the nearly 6 trillion rubles allocated for national projects, only 941 billion has actually been disbursed. Projects for space exploration development until 2030, unmanned aviation systems, and digital transformation have been left without funding.

All of this is happening against the backdrop of a growing budget deficit, high inflation, and industrial crises. The war of aggression against Ukraine is becoming increasingly costly for russians with each passing day.
