How Russia is introducing ration cards

Starting next year, food ration cards will be introduced in Russia’s Kaliningrad region due to a significant rise in prices. This situation stems from transportation restrictions imposed by Lithuania in response to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

As a result of these so-called “ineffective sanctions”, Russians are edging closer to their nostalgic Soviet Union. However, it’s not about “delicious ice cream” or “sausage for 2.20” but about shortages and ration cards. Perhaps Russians should be more cautious with what they wish for.
