The kremlin “pumps” propaganda into children in the occupied territories
In occupied Donetsk and Luhansk, the russian military-historical society presented new “textbooks on the history of Donbas and novorossiya” for students in grades 5–7. The publication was created under the guidance of vladimir medinsky, the main ideologist of putin’s version of history.
▫️ These textbooks are a “regional component” of the unified state history textbook series, which has already become one of the key tools for ideological indoctrination of children. In these textbooks, children are presented with the myth of an “ancient connection” of the occupied territories to russia and Ukraine is depicted as the “enemy.” This is an attempt to separate the younger generation from the Ukrainian state and culture, erase Ukrainian identity, and replace it with a russian one.
The kremlin understands that the “front of minds” is no less important than the military front. Through the education system, the enemy seeks to form a generation in the occupied territories that will be loyal to the putin regime and think solely within the framework of russian propaganda.
