ru-propaganda has activated lies about “torture in Ukrainian captivity”
russian propaganda is promoting yet another disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting Ukraine through fake “testimonies” of alleged torture of captured russian soldiers.
▫️This time, kremlin is using the so-called “international tribunal for investigating the crimes of Ukrainian neo-nazis” — a structure created and fully controlled by russia itself. It has no official status or recognition and serves purely as a tool of information warfare.
▫️The published “testimonies” follow a typical pattern: a russian soldier describes brutal beatings and torture, yet, as usual, no credible evidence is provided. The man’s appearance in the video also doesn’t match the claims of alleged torture.
kremlin systematically exploits the topic of prisoners of war to manipulate public opinion and distract attention from its own crimes. While international organizations document torture, executions, and abuse of Ukrainian POWs, moscow fabricates false narratives to discredit Ukraine on the global stage.
