ru-propaganda continues to spread lies about alleged “atrocities by the AFU”
russian propaganda media continue to actively generate disinformation about alleged crimes committed by Ukrainian military personnel against the civilian population of Donbas.
▫️ To this end, propagandists exploit civilians from Ukrainian cities under russian occupation as well as Ukrainian prisoners of war, forcing them to voice messages required by ru-propaganda on camera.
▫️ In particular, claims are being circulated alleging that the Ukrainian Defense Forces threatened local residents to “wipe Pokrovsk off the map,” or shot a civilian man “simply for delivering food to people,” and similar fabrications.
As always, propagandists provide no evidence of these alleged “crimes.” The accusations are based solely on the words of individuals whose lives currently depend on the will of the occupiers.
The goal of this disinformation campaign is to justify the continuation of the war and to shift attention away from the real, well-documented war crimes committed by the russian army in Ukraine.
