Faces of russian propaganda in the TOT: regina shkuratova

The CCD continues a series of reports about the main executors of russian propaganda in the occupied territories of Ukraine. Today, we will tell you about regina shkuratova, a russian propagandist who organizes the promotion of kremlin narratives through radio in the occupied territories.

The propagandist came to the occupied territories from novosibirsk, russia, where she is better known by the name krutous. Back home, she worked as the editor-in-chief of a novosibirsk radio station.

In the spring of this year, shkuratova became the editor-in-chief of the Za!Radio station created by the occupiers in Melitopol. This radio resource covers the entire occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region. It broadcasts propaganda programs for all categories of the population, even children. The announcers promise the locals a “bright future” with russia on the air and also glorify the military of the occupation army.

After becoming the editor-in-chief of the radio station, shkuratova immediately announced the expansion of this radio network, including the creation of a propaganda station for young people. The station features the voices of young people who contribute to the formation of a positive image of the occupation authorities.

This is the “Young south” project, which includes not only a radio station. This is an entire youth movement for the ideological indoctrination of the younger generation in the occupied territories, which includes a large number of activists, organizes mass events, publishes thematic publications, etc.

Za!Radio is part of the Za!Media media holding, founded by st. petersburg-based propagandist alexander malkevich. Since 2022, he has been organizing and developing a centralized kremlin propaganda system in the occupied territories.
