Due to russia’s actions in the Black Sea, dolphins are dying en masse

Just In March, environmentalists recorded over 100 dead dolphins washed up on the shores of the Black Sea in russia’s krasnodar krai. They died as a result of a tanker accident and a fuel oil spill in the Kerch Strait in December last year. The total number of animals killed is estimated at around 200.

▫️These figures are very approximate and account only for the cases documented by environmentalists. The real numbers may be significantly higher. The mass death of dolphins is a major indicator of the alarming situation in the Black Sea ecosystem. Meanwhile, the russian authorities only imitate efforts to address the environmental disaster caused by the fuel spill.

While propagandists talk about their “concern” for the occupied territories, the Black Sea ecosystem is being systematically destroyed. There are also reports of mass wildlife deaths in the Sea of Azov. russia treats the seized territories solely as a resource to achieve its own military and political goals.
