AI-fake about alleged “lack of supplies in the AFU”
The Center has recorded the continuation of a disinformation campaign involving AI-generated videos aimed at discrediting Ukraine’s military and political leadership.
◽️ russian resources are circulating a video in which an individual allegedly posing as a Ukrainian servicemember complains about a lack of supplies and conditions in which the unit is supposedly forced to spend the night in mud without heating.
In reality, the video displays clear signs of AI generation. The character lacks natural facial expressions and blinking, and the lip movements are not synchronized with the audio—typical indicators of a deepfake. The original source is a recently created TikTok account with no connection to actual military personnel.
Such materials constitute elements of russia’s information and psychological operations. Their objective is to distort perceptions of the situation on the front line and undermine trust in Ukraine’s Defense Forces.
