What Global South media write about Ukraine

In most regions of the Global South, this news did not cause much optimism. The media emphasized that peace is unlikely to be achieved quickly.
The Chinese media did not mention Xi Jinping’s decision to visit Moscow to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the victory, which is actively promoted by Russian propaganda. Russian resources reporting on this took this silence as a sign of a violation of diplomatic protocol by the Russian side and a premature announcement of a visit that had not been agreed with Beijing.
In India, much attention is focused on the Aero India 2025 exhibition, where Russia is actively trying to gain a foothold in the Indian arms market. Indian media see the situation as an escalation of rivalry between Russia and the United States for influence in India.
