Kremlin is intensifying its propaganda in Bahrain
russian propaganda outlet RT Arabic has signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Information of Bahrain.
▫️This took place during the St. petersburg international economic forum. The parties agreed on content exchange, including documentaries and entertainment products.
As previously reported by the Center, RT Arabic’s documentary projects aim to create positive associations with russia and are an important tool for promoting russian propaganda in Arab countries, which kremlin actively seeks to use to support its anti-American and anti-European policies.
▫️While emphasizing commitment to the principles of mutual respect and non-interference in the internal affairs of other countries, RT is actually working to strengthen the kremlin’s influence in other nations, promoting anti-Western propaganda and justifying russia’s aggressive foreign policy.
The signing of such memorandums is a typical tactical move by RT to deepen its penetration into the information space of other countries. Earlier, RT signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Information of Oman, as well as several major regional media outlets, including Egyptian media Sada El-Balad, Bahrain’s Al Watan, UAE’s Al Etihad, and Jordan’s Petra news agency.
