The supreme court of russia has suspended the ban on the activities of the Taliban in a closed session. As is known, in May 2024, putin publicly stated that this organization is the de facto authority in Afghanistan, with which it is necessary to “build relations.”
The Taliban — an Islamist movement known for its repressive nature, violations of women’s rights, executions, and its former support for al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
