Why are russian special services training saboteurs in the Balkans
Residents of Eastern Europe are being offered a “easy job” — $300–500 and a paid two-week trip with active rest.
In fact, the recruited individuals end up in training camps, where they are taught to operate drones, use incendiary devices, and resist the police during protests. The instructors are individuals associated with the former PMC “wagner”.
The involvement of former “wagnerites” in such trainings indicates russia’s intention to use their combat experience to export violence abroad. Such an approach allows moscow to minimize the risks of exposure and expands the possibilities for conducting sabotage operations.
Earlier, the Center reported that European special services are registering an increase in cases of recruitment of civilians by russian intelligence for espionage and various provocations.
