Kremlin is spreading lies about Ukraine under the guise of a security forum
russia is using international discussion platforms to promote anti-Ukrainian propaganda. At the XIII International Meeting of High Representatives in charge of security issues, one of the central exhibits was a display presenting so-called “evidence of Ukrainian nazism.” The meeting, held in moscow from May 27–29, is attended by representatives from over 100 countries, primarily from the Global South and East.
▫️ The exhibition features a photo project depicting alleged crimes by Ukraine against civilians, as well as displays of Western weapons supposedly used by AFU in Donbas. Through such materials, russia seeks to justify its armed aggression against Ukraine and promotes the narrative of a “Western proxy war waged through Kyiv.”
▫️ Notably, among the organizers of the exhibition is the magazine “new regions of russia”, a media project run by propagandist oleksandr malkevich, who oversee kremlin’s information policy in the occupied territories.
By showcasing fabricated “evidence of Ukrainian nazism,” kremlin is attempting to impose a distorted view of reality on the world — one in which the aggressor presents itself as the victim. russia cloaks the spread of this falsehood under the guise of discussions on “global security.”
