Fake front pages of well-known French media outlets

In a program on russia’s channel One, a host claimed that two leading French outlets — Libération and Le Parisien — had allegedly criticized the President of Ukraine for being “incapable of negotiations,” displaying fake front pages with corresponding headlines.
In reality, neither of these French media outlets published such materials. In their January 27 editions, the front pages were dedicated to entirely different topics. The fake covers were created by replacing the central image and headline, while other layout elements — fonts, subheadings, and publication details — were fully copied from the originals.
Another telling detail is that the forged covers first appeared not in the French information space, but in russian Telegram channels.
The goal of this information attack is to create the illusion of Western disappointment with Ukraine and to impose the narrative of “European fatigue,” exploiting the credibility of Western media.
The Center has repeatedly documented the enemy’s use of tactics in which disinformation is disseminated by imitating the style and visual identity of authoritative Western media outlets.
