Fake about the UAE “rejecting Ukrainian counter-drone systems”
The Center has recorded the continuation of russia’s disinformation campaign aimed at discrediting Ukraine’s international cooperation in the field of defense technologies.
▫️ russian information resources are spreading a fake video stylized as a report by the international broadcaster Al Jazeera, claiming that the UAE is allegedly rejecting Ukrainian counter-drone systems due to their “complete ineffectiveness.” The video also states that all facilities supposedly protected by these systems were struck.
In reality, the video is entirely fabricated. No such report exists on any of Al Jazeera’s official platforms. There are also no confirmed statements from the UAE regarding any “rejection” of Ukrainian systems or their alleged “ineffectiveness.”
The purpose of this information operation is to discredit Ukrainian developments in counter-drone technologies, undermine trust in Ukraine as a security partner, and disrupt the development of cooperation with countries in the Middle East.
