Continued campaign to discredit the Commander-in-Chief of the AFU
The Center continues to document the spread of disinformation and manipulative content aimed at discrediting Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Mykhailo Drapatyi.
▫️This time, social media is circulating an alleged statement by the Commander-in-Chief’s wife claiming there is “strong internal resistance” to Mykhailo Drapatyi’s reforms, “pressure” from associates of the former Armed Forces leadership and political circles, as well as a possible early resignation.
There is no evidence confirming the authenticity of this statement or that it was actually made by the Commander-in-Chief’s wife.
Such publications are a continuation of an information campaign aimed at creating a false perception of an internal split within Ukraine’s military leadership and undermining trust in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Center emphasizes that messages from anonymous and unofficial sources, especially without proper verification, cannot serve as a basis for conclusions about the situation within Ukraine’s military leadership.
