In Starobilsk, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck exclusively at military targets, however, russian propaganda launched a large-scale disinformation campaign around this topic involving senior russian officials, diplomats and other official structures.
The goal of this campaign is obvious – to use the widely circulated fiction about the “terrible crime in Starobilsk” to justify the continuation of the aggressive war and terror of the civilian population of Ukraine.
