ru-propaganda continues its disinformation campaign about alleged “atrocities against prisoners.”

Propagandist outlets are actively spreading another statement by the so-called “russian foreign ministry special envoy for crimes of the kyiv regime” rodion miroshnik, claiming that in Ukraine, russian POWs are allegedly “tortured on electric chairs,” “attacked by dogs,” and “used for drug experiments,” among other absurd accusations.

russian propagandists regularly make such claims but never provide any evidence. In reality, these statements have nothing to do with the truth — they are just another tool of russia’s information warfare against Ukraine.

russia constantly spreads fakes and disinformation about prisoners of war to justify its own numerous crimes, which have been repeatedly documented and proven, including by international organizations.

It is worth noting that russia itself withdrew from the European Convention against torture and other cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment — effectively removing even a formal ban on the inhumane treatment of prisoners within the russian federation.
