The number of “educational advisers” in russian schools and colleges will increase to 60,000 — twice as many as today. The order from vladimir putin was announced at the forum “State Policy in the Humanitarian Sphere: Education through Victory.”
▫️ This means the regime is effectively creating a full-fledged network of ideological curators in schools. The institute of advisers was introduced in 2021, and since then the number of participants has grown 13 times — from 2.8 thousand to 37 thousand people. By 2027, these “patriotism educators” will appear in all russian schools and colleges. They are trained in special centers operating in more than 120 cities, including “Artek” in the occupied Crimea.
The expansion of this “adviser corps” goes hand in hand with changes in the curriculum. Topics about freedom, morality, and citizens’ rights have been removed from social studies. Instead, students are being taught history from propagandist textbooks written by putin’s ally medinsky. In other words, everything is being done to raise a young generation tailored to the needs of the regime.
