kremlin failed to secure the support of Arab countries
The first “russian-Arab Summit” announced in moscow has been canceled after key leaders of the Arab League did not confirm their participation. The event was planned as a demonstration of support for the kremlin in the Arab world, but the failure at the final stage showed the limits of russian influence.
▫️ In explanations, the kremlin speaks of a “complex situation” and tries to link the decision to foreign policy processes. This is a typical information smokescreen. In reality, it is a diplomatic and reputational blow: the failure of the “major event” disrupts the plan to show russia’s “international normalization” and use the image of “unity” as a signal to Western capitals.
The Center previously reported that russian propaganda platforms in the Arab segment are actively signing memorandums with state and major media, exchanging content, and launching “documentary projects” aimed at creating positive associations with the russian federation, promoting anti-Western messages, and justifying the kremlin’s aggressive policy.
