Kremlin halts civilian fleet upgrade due to lack of funds
The civilian maritime fleet renewal program that russia heavily promoted in 2023 has been cut by over 40% due to chronic funding shortages. While the plan aimed to build 260 commercial, fishing, and cruise vessels over five years, the project’s implementation is now in serious doubt.
