Why did Russian Federation start talking about new constitutional amendments?
Officials of the russian federation have begun preparing the population for another amendment to the russian federation constitution, which will likely further strengthen the powers of the illegitimate president vladimir putin.
▫️ As noted by the deputy speaker of the russian state duma and member of putin’s party “united russia,” petro tolstoy, the recent changes to the russian federation constitution, which “reset” putin’s previous four terms and allowed him to run in the 2024 elections, are not final, since after the start of the so-called “special military operation” “many things have changed.”
According to tolstoy, the new amendments to the russian federation constitution will be “much more significant” than the previous ones.
As is known, the 2024 russian federation presidential elections were held, among other places, in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, therefore the voting and the “elected person” are illegitimate.
Although the current russian federation constitution allows putin to run for a sixth presidential term in 2030 and makes his power almost unlimited, it seems putin plans to formalize even more powers and the ability to rule for life.
