Russia’s economy slowed sharply in 2025
rosstat has recorded a sharp slowdown in russia’s economic growth at the beginning of 2025. In the first quarter, GDP grew by only 1.4% year-on-year — down from 4.5% in the previous quarter and 5.4% a year earlier.
▫️ The real situation turned out to be worse than any forecasts. According to analysts, russian economy has already begun to shrink — for the first time since 2022.
