Fake video about mobilization in Ukraine
Enemy Telegram channels are spreading a staged video allegedly showing TCC and JSC officers abducting a man with a child in Kherson region.
The Center for Countering Disinformation reports: his fake was distributed by the Czech-based website of the russian “Pravda” network, which regularly spreads content aimed at discrediting Ukraine. The video does not allow for identification of any individuals or location, which is a clear indicator of inauthenticity. Moreover, the people shown in the footage behave unnaturally, with their actions resembling scripted acting. Close-up shots of the stroller are particularly telling.
The purpose of this fake is to discredit Ukraine’s Territorial Recruitment Centers and the mobilization process. Interestingly, even some russian propagandists later began to debunk the video.
▫️Previously, the Center reported on a network of 24 “Pravda”-branded websites created by russia to spread propaganda across Europe. All these websites are registered in russia.
