Russian propaganda manipulations about shelling of Kherson
Vladimir Saldo, the Kremlin-installed governor of the occupied part of the Kherson region, claims that Kyiv “is not ready to give up Kherson without destruction.” According to him, this is allegedly indicated by the construction of fortifications by the Ukrainian military.
▫️ The Russian military is systematically shelling Kherson, killing its residents and causing large-scale damage to the city. With such statements, Russia is once again attempting to shift the responsibility for its crimes onto Ukraine.
This is a typical technique of Russian propaganda. Through its manipulations, the enemy seeks to create an information background that the shelling is the result of Ukraine’s actions. In fact, the destruction in Kherson is the result of Russia’s unprovoked armed aggression against Ukraine, and the responsibility for it lies solely with Russia.
