How Putin tries to agitate Russians to go to war
Russian media are widely reporting on Vladimir Putin personally presenting awards to participants of the “special military operation” and the relatives of those killed, on the occasion of the so-called “Heroes of the Fatherland Day”.
▫️ The Kremlin dictator is more amd more frequently participating in such events, repeating insincere propaganda clichés reminiscent of the USSR, such as “Russia is proud of its heroes” and claiming that “veterans of the smo” are the new elite of the Russian Federation, etc.
In reality, these events featuring Putin are just another propaganda campaign designed to encourage Russians to join the war against Ukraine. However, despite promises of “eternal honor,” prospects of “becoming the elite,” and high payments for volunteers, the number of Russians willing to fight continues to decline.
