Against the backdrop of growing hybrid threats from russia, Poland is calling for up to 40% of russian diplomats in the EU to be expelled and for their freedom of movement to be restricted.<\/p>\n
Polish Foreign Minister Rados\u0142aw Sikorski has called on the European Union to expel nearly 1,000 russian diplomats. According to him, these individuals carry out activities incompatible with diplomatic status and work for intelligence services involved in sabotage and terrorist activities.<\/p>\n
The statement came after a new wave of russian sabotage. In particular, a drone carrying explosives was found in Germany near a Ukrainian aircraft in Leipzig.<\/p>\n
The scale of the threat is also confirmed by a report from Germany\u2019s Federal Criminal Police Office. Since the beginning of 2026, more than 165 suspected acts of sabotage have been registered in the country. Authorities have also recorded 747 cases involving suspicious drones and more than 1,000 drone flights over critical infrastructure, military bases and defence industry plants.<\/p>\n
