\u25ab\ufe0fThe decisions come amid findings by German law enforcement agencies regarding russia\u2019s involvement in the drone attack at Leipzig Airport on August 4. Following the investigation, the German side has attributed responsibility for the attack to russia. German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said the events in Leipzig fit into a broader pattern of russian hybrid operations in Europe.<\/p>\n
moscow regularly uses sabotage and other hybrid methods as tools of pressure against European states. Targets include critical infrastructure, defense companies, and facilities linked to support for Ukraine.<\/p>\n
The kremlin\u2019s goal is to create a sense of insecurity, spread fear and distrust in societies, and fuel divisions in Europe over continued support for Ukraine.
