A destructive campaign aimed at discrediting medical and rehabilitation programmes for Ukrainian military personnel in Poland continues in the Polish information space.<\/p>\n
Claims have been circulated about a pilot programme for the rehabilitation of Ukrainian veterans in the town of G\u00f3rowo-I\u0142aweckie in northern Poland, alleging that the project poses a threat to the country’s security. The argument is based on the fabricated claim that Ukrainian military personnel will allegedly settle in Poland permanently. It is also emphasised that the veterans are \u00abfamiliar with the use of weapons\u00bb and therefore may be of interest to criminal organisations.<\/p>\n
In reality, this is a pilot rehabilitation project for 30 Ukrainian military personnel, funded by money raised by the \u00abPolish council of business\u00bb. There is no mention of any additional expenditure from Poland’s state budget. The claim that Ukrainians will remain in Poland permanently after completing rehabilitation is also manipulative.<\/p>\n
This is not the first attempt to discredit the provision of medical assistance to Ukrainian military personnel in Poland. Previously, fake videos were circulated in the Polish information space claiming that Ukrainian military personnel allegedly received \u00abprivileged treatment\u00bb in Polish hospitals.<\/p>\n
