In reality, by spreading such statements, the russian authorities are preparing an information alibi by preemptively portraying any reports of violations and discrepancies between the \u201celections in russia\u201d and democratic standards as the work of \u201cforeign agents and extremists.\u201d<\/p>\n
As the Center has previously reported, the russian authorities have launched a large-scale propaganda campaign ahead of the so-called elections in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. At the same time, these \u201celections\u201d are organized in a way that makes it as easy as possible to \u201cproduce\u201d any result desired by the kremlin.<\/p>\n
