In December of the same year, five UAVs were recorded over the French nuclear submarine base \u00cele-Longue. The drones were launched directly from tankers of the russian “shadow fleet,” which operated in international waters with transponders turned off.<\/p>\n
The purpose of this operation was to identify gaps in NATO’s air defense system, study military logistics, and exert psychological pressure. The discovered facts clearly confirm the militarization of the russian “commercial” shadow fleet and its transformation into a foothold for hybrid military operations.<\/p>\n
